Creating A Magazine To Promote You And Your Business

Hi folks and welcome to the Our Internet Secrets blog. Its Andrew Grant here and I’ve just finished a call with Glenn Walford who has been sharing his insider secrets on how to create a magazine to promote you and your business.

A magazine is fantastic.

A book gives you credibility and authority and you’re recognised as an expert as a published author in the market place.

Anyone can do a book, but equally anyone can do a magazine. If you were to do a magazine that backs on beautifully to a book because what it does is give you some flexibility and some abilities to put current information in print.

Also … you can joint venture with varying partners and suppliers all around the place to make you the person that people want to be involved with and go to … because after all you’re the person with the magazine who can provide them with the profile in your market place.

Suddenly, you become the honey pot for everyone who you have ever wanted to do business with and you’ve got people contacting you from all over the place, because they want to be involved in what you are doing.

The best thing from what we talked about on the call was that a magazine is actually really easy to do. In fact, it is easier to do than a book.

Repurposing Existing Content

A magazine is better than writing a book because you can contact various people, get their existing content and do what we call “repurposing existing content” – put it into an article format and load it into your magazine.

You can do whatever you want with your magazine. You can attract advertisers. You can attract people who want to be involved with you and get themselves out there and promote themselves as well and by default – you being involved with these people – elevates you in that market place and your niche.

Glenn really got our attention with this and we entered into the magazine world with him and we’ve been very excited with the results that we’ve had.

He is involved currently with 4 different magazines and making them happen.

One of the things that Glenn introduced us to was the concept of short copy run and online magazines. He says that you have to do a blend of both these days.

Flip Technology

From a local business perspective and getting into the market place … there is nothing like having a physical copy of your magazine (you can print as little as one – you don’t have to have thousands sitting in your garage) and combine that with an online PDF version using page flip technology.

This flip technology looks like and sounds like you are turning pages like on an iPad or a Kindle.

Instead of having a “free report of the 7 Steps to Building XXX” in your business, you can have – “subscribe to my online magazine” for your database building which is enormously powerful. People are having great success with building databases by people subscribing to online magazines.

  • How to approach advertisers
  • How to get your content for the magazine
  • How to produce the magazine
  • How to market the magazine

Your Expert X-Factor – The 5 Pillars of Market Leadership

Hi this is Daryl and I’ve just finished a great teleconference call with Dr Joanna Martin. You probably know Jo as our speaking expert on the faculty of Our Internet Secrets and today, Jo was taking a little bit of a wider view than what she normally talks about when she’s on one of the OIS calls.

Usually, she’s talking about the nuts and bolts of putting together a stage presentation to help you make a lot more money if you are speaking either on stage or on a webinar.

Today she pulled back a bit and took the bigger picture view of the 5 pillars of market leadership. The things that you need to be doing if you want to dominate your niche.

Now, of course, if you decide that you want to use your internet business as pure passive income, then you can certainly do that, but if you like the idea of adding another zero, building that 6, 7 or 8 figure business, then building an ultimate business model is really a powerful way to expand what it is you are doing … have a great lifestyle and make a lot of money.

So … Jo talked about the 5 key things that you need to have in order to make that happen.

She talked about:

• how you identify your niche
• how you stand out in that niche
• how you then build your list and the relationship with it
• positioning in terms of speaking from stage and having a book

And … she then talked about how you actually design the high level products that you want to then on sell to your clients in the niche that you are dominating.

How to Test and Measure Sales Letter To Get More Conversions

Hi folks this is Daryl and we’ve just finished our teleconference for Our Internet Secrets members and this week it has been on – how to test and measure your sales letter to get more conversions.

This is an absolutely critical part of the process. Once you’ve done all the hard work, you’ve identified your niche, you’ve built your product, you’ve written your sales letter, you’ve had your website built … now’s the time to put in that last little bit of effort to really get the money flowing.

What we talked about today was the exact steps that you need to go through in order to split test your sales letter. Now what split testing is – is comparing two different versions of your website to see which one actually sells best and it is important that you do it in a really structured way so that you maximise the income from your website as quickly as possible.

You immediately know what’s working … what’s not … and once you’ve got the maximum income coming from your website you can then ramp up the other traffic driving strategies.

I had Annette Welsford join me on the call today and she showed some fantastic real life examples of some of hers and some of our client’s websites so that you can see the sorts of differences that split testing can make.

In fact, in just one example we showed how a site went from earning absolutely nothing to earning over $75,000 per year – thanks to some split testing. Too often we see clients give up in the first week or so because they think their site is just not converting well enough when the reality is – if you use the right process, you can start pulling a lot of money out of websites even if they are not going really well in the first instance.

How You can Use a Book to Open the Door to Joint Venture Deals

Hi folks and welcome to the Our Internet Secrets blog. Today I was lucky enough to talk to Darren Stephens. He is one of our faculty members on Our Internet Secrets and he was sharing the secrets to using a book to be able to do joint venture deals.

For those of you who have heard us talk about joint venture deals – it is probably one of the most profitable tools we’ve used in our business and we really like the idea of joint ventures as they allow you to do things that you wouldn’t normally be able to do by yourself.

Now … joint ventures is a very powerful tool, but sometimes it is not something that you can into doing it yourself. Why Darren was exciting to talk to today is because he basically showed us the benefits of a book and using a book as a door opener into being able to do joint venture deals.

Darren has a whole system of being able to take it from step to step of identifying a potential joint venture partner and by using your book, being able to approach them in a way that positions you as the expert and positions you in a way that you can go into business or do a joint venture with a person that you are wanting to talk to.

It will position you in a way where you can get either an equity deal in the business or get a lump sum payment from them or have some sort of income stream coming from the business or a combination of all those things.

Darren has done this over and over again with businesses from all around the world and he has taught other people to do this as well and it has been a really exciting thing for him.

Successful Joint Ventures

Hi … its Annette Welsford here … and today we in the Our Internet Secrets teleconference call we had our faculty member, Janet Beckers, join us from www.wonderfulwebwomen.com and she walked us through how to set up successful joint ventures.

She is a real whizz at this. She’s been doing it for quite awhile now and she’s interviewed some of the most amazing, successful and famous people from around the world. When she first started out, she had no product and no list.

On the call she walked through with us – exactly what makes a great joint venture partner. Not everybody’s the ideal partner for you. There is a checklist that you need to go through to find out if they are going to be a good joint venture partner.

How to have power and passion in what you do, particularly if you are going to set up a joint venture arrangement with somebody wealthy and famous. There is obviously a bit of a power imbalance there and Janet shows us how to get through that power imbalance and balance out the scales a bit.

She walked through how to find joint venture partners – some amazing ideas for thinking outside the box, using social media, how to do your research. And finally how to approach joint venture partners so that you build a relationship such that they hear your pitch and they immediately think, yes, this would be a great person to do a joint venture with.

7 Steps To A Successful Podcast Interview

Hi its Andrew here … and welcome to the Our Internet Secrets website.

I’ve just got off the phone from talking with Yaro Starak … Yaro is one of our faculty members in Our Internet Secrets and he is probably most famous for his blog www.entrepreneurs-journey.com.

He has been very successful in that and has taught many people to be successful in blogging all around the world. What Yaro was talking about today was the 7 steps to a successful podcast interview.

Yaro really built his business in the initial stages around doing podcast interviews. He would find successful people on his subject … he would go out and interview them, create an MP3 file and convert that into a podcast that he would publish through iTunes and a number of other different medias that are out there.

Over time he built up hours and hours of content talking to successful people on his subject. He has been quite dramatically successful in that area.

Yaro took us through a number of key steps to be successful with your interview and putting the interview together. Just to touch on a couple of the things that he covered, he went through the hardware and the software that you need and it was quite interesting. You really don’t need that much.

He talked about how he started with literally a basic MP3 player with a built in mike and he would record on that. He built up from there. These days he is a little bit more sophisticated than that and he explained exactly what he did on the call.

He also talked about how to convince famous people to get on your podcast. It was very interesting that Yaro was able to set his sights high on people he wanted to interview in his niche. He was targeting the key people – and he might not know this, but he set a plan together on how to get to know people who refer on.

It was a great strategy he shared with how to get famous people to come on your site.

And … he talked about the types of questions and how you get people to answer the questions that you want and how to structure your interview. The main thing he focused on here is that you need to get them to explain their secrets to success in a step by step fashion about what they did to be successful in the area that people are wanting to know about.

So, there are lots of cool things that Yaro covered in this topic about how to do a successful podcast interview. What To Do To Get Your Business Set Up For Sale

Hi … welcome to the Our Internet Secrets blog. Today I had the pleasure of talking to Matt and Liz Raad and we were discussing what you need to do to get your business set up for a sale.

Now, Matt and Liz really like the philosophy of starting with the end in mind. And this is what they called their talk … basically starting with the end in mind and then how to make sure you get the big payday on your website.

What they hold to is that you need to set your business up so that at any stage the business could be sold.

The two main reasons that you want to do that are because it allows for your business to operate in the best possible way in making the most money. If you are getting your business prepared for sale – you will always wanting to show your best sales figures, the environment the system is working in and so on.

Also … you are in a position to take advantage of selling your business, should you choose to.

It is always better to have the choice to sell as opposed to having a business that you can’t sell because you haven’t structured it correctly or haven’t got it set up.

Matt and Liz took us through some real key points – things that you need to put in place from the start to ensure that your website can be sold. There are basically 5 key things that they had a look at there.

They also discussed what makes your website valuable to buy when the buyer comes along so that they will pay more for your business than somebody else.

They shared what websites are selling now and what’s really hot in the market. They went through a bunch of examples from start ups of $0 to tens of millions of $$$ within as short a time as 18 months.

How To Find Bonus And White Label Products

Hi … its Annette Welsford here … and today in our Teleconference for Our Internet Secrets we talked about how to create product and we had our faculty member, Darren Stephens, join us as our special guest today.

He gave us fascinating insight into where to find bonus products – how to create them or how to find existing ones and also create your own products or go and find other people’s products and white label them and get master resale rights.

It was quite interesting … because many of our members want to know how to create their products, particularly if they are not very skilled in writing.  You don’t need to be.

There is a whole bunch of places where you can find existing product, you can find writers, and not only that Darren gave us 35 ideas on how to easily find or create products to add value as bonuses to our existing businesses.  That really helps to set us apart from competitors.  If you are offering a $100 product for $20 benefit you have a lot of little bonuses that go with it.  This creates a lot more value for your buyers.

He also gave us some inside tips into how to get celebrity interviews which was quite illuminating.  I’m going to try that oneself.  He gave us a link to where you can find the latest private label rights products.

If you don’t want to create your own products, you can go and buy something that has been created straight away that has already been developed by other companies and they are offering them for private labelling – this is white labelling – and also the master resale rights.

How To Choose Topic For Your Information Product Based On Your Life Experience

Hi folks … its Daryl here. We’ve just finished this week’s Our Internet Secrets teleconference call which is all about how to choose a great topic for an information product based on your life experience.

Now … if you’re selling a one off info product like an eBook for example, it is certainly not essential that you know anything about the topic. But if you do, there are some distinct advantages and disadvantages to doing that.

What we did in today’s Our Internet Secrets’ teleconference call was run through all of the advantages of doing an eBook topic about something that you know a lot about and also the disadvantages, maybe a couple of things that you hadn’t thought about.

We then ran through the process of how it is that you actually identify what sort of things, based on your life experience other people may well be interested in. We have a series of questions that you can use to identify those things and we also talked about how you can involve others in that process to get a much better quality list of potential topics based on your life experience.

Mindset Issues When Choosing A Niche

Hey everyone, its Daryl here.  Andrew and I have just finished this week’s Our Internet Secrets teleconference call where we talked about the mindset issues which can cause you problems when you are choosing a niche for an information product.

You see its one thing to have a great system to help you identify a hot selling niche, but having a great system – while that system could be the best system in the world, it’s not the only factor that you need to consider.

Quite often its people’s mindset which actually causes them problems when choosing a great niche for an information product.

Andrew and I went through 8 different subconscious blockages or beliefs or programs that you may have that are causing you problems when you identify a hot selling niche for an information product.
