Successful Joint Ventures

Hi … its Annette Welsford here … and today we in the Our Internet Secrets teleconference call we had our faculty member, Janet Beckers, join us from www.wonderfulwebwomen.com and she walked us through how to set up successful joint ventures.
She is a real whizz at this. She’s been doing it for quite awhile now and she’s interviewed some of the most amazing, successful and famous people from around the world. When she first started out, she had no product and no list.
On the call she walked through with us – exactly what makes a great joint venture partner. Not everybody’s the ideal partner for you. There is a checklist that you need to go through to find out if they are going to be a good joint venture partner.
How to have power and passion in what you do, particularly if you are going to set up a joint venture arrangement with somebody wealthy and famous. There is obviously a bit of a power imbalance there and Janet shows us how to get through that power imbalance and balance out the scales a bit.
She walked through how to find joint venture partners – some amazing ideas for thinking outside the box, using social media, how to do your research. And finally how to approach joint venture partners so that you build a relationship such that they hear your pitch and they immediately think, yes, this would be a great person to do a joint venture with.

7 Steps To A Successful Podcast Interview

Hi its Andrew here … and welcome to the Our Internet Secrets website.
I’ve just got off the phone from talking with Yaro Starak … Yaro is one of our faculty members in Our Internet Secrets and he is probably most famous for his blog www.entrepreneurs-journey.com.
He has been very successful in that and has taught many people to be successful in blogging all around the world. What Yaro was talking about today was the 7 steps to a successful podcast interview.
Yaro really built his business in the initial stages around doing podcast interviews. He would find successful people on his subject … he would go out and interview them, create an MP3 file and convert that into a podcast that he would publish through iTunes and a number of other different medias that are out there.
Over time he built up hours and hours of content talking to successful people on his subject. He has been quite dramatically successful in that area.
Yaro took us through a number of key steps to be successful with your interview and putting the interview together. Just to touch on a couple of the things that he covered, he went through the hardware and the software that you need and it was quite interesting. You really don’t need that much.
He talked about how he started with literally a basic MP3 player with a built in mike and he would record on that. He built up from there. These days he is a little bit more sophisticated than that and he explained exactly what he did on the call.
He also talked about how to convince famous people to get on your podcast. It was very interesting that Yaro was able to set his sights high on people he wanted to interview in his niche. He was targeting the key people – and he might not know this, but he set a plan together on how to get to know people who refer on.
It was a great strategy he shared with how to get famous people to come on your site.
And … he talked about the types of questions and how you get people to answer the questions that you want and how to structure your interview. The main thing he focused on here is that you need to get them to explain their secrets to success in a step by step fashion about what they did to be successful in the area that people are wanting to know about.
So, there are lots of cool things that Yaro covered in this topic about how to do a successful podcast interview. What To Do To Get Your Business Set Up For Sale

Hi … welcome to the Our Internet Secrets blog. Today I had the pleasure of talking to Matt and Liz Raad and we were discussing what you need to do to get your business set up for a sale.
Now, Matt and Liz really like the philosophy of starting with the end in mind. And this is what they called their talk … basically starting with the end in mind and then how to make sure you get the big payday on your website.
What they hold to is that you need to set your business up so that at any stage the business could be sold.
The two main reasons that you want to do that are because it allows for your business to operate in the best possible way in making the most money. If you are getting your business prepared for sale – you will always wanting to show your best sales figures, the environment the system is working in and so on.
Also … you are in a position to take advantage of selling your business, should you choose to.
It is always better to have the choice to sell as opposed to having a business that you can’t sell because you haven’t structured it correctly or haven’t got it set up.
Matt and Liz took us through some real key points – things that you need to put in place from the start to ensure that your website can be sold. There are basically 5 key things that they had a look at there.
They also discussed what makes your website valuable to buy when the buyer comes along so that they will pay more for your business than somebody else.
They shared what websites are selling now and what’s really hot in the market. They went through a bunch of examples from start ups of $0 to tens of millions of $$$ within as short a time as 18 months.

How To Find Bonus And White Label Products

Hi … its Annette Welsford here … and today in our Teleconference for Our Internet Secrets we talked about how to create product and we had our faculty member, Darren Stephens, join us as our special guest today.
He gave us fascinating insight into where to find bonus products – how to create them or how to find existing ones and also create your own products or go and find other people’s products and white label them and get master resale rights.
It was quite interesting … because many of our members want to know how to create their products, particularly if they are not very skilled in writing. You don’t need to be.
There is a whole bunch of places where you can find existing product, you can find writers, and not only that Darren gave us 35 ideas on how to easily find or create products to add value as bonuses to our existing businesses. That really helps to set us apart from competitors. If you are offering a $100 product for $20 benefit you have a lot of little bonuses that go with it. This creates a lot more value for your buyers.
He also gave us some inside tips into how to get celebrity interviews which was quite illuminating. I’m going to try that oneself. He gave us a link to where you can find the latest private label rights products.
If you don’t want to create your own products, you can go and buy something that has been created straight away that has already been developed by other companies and they are offering them for private labelling – this is white labelling – and also the master resale rights.

How To Choose Topic For Your Information Product Based On Your Life Experience

Hi folks … its Daryl here. We’ve just finished this week’s Our Internet Secrets teleconference call which is all about how to choose a great topic for an information product based on your life experience.
Now … if you’re selling a one off info product like an eBook for example, it is certainly not essential that you know anything about the topic. But if you do, there are some distinct advantages and disadvantages to doing that.
What we did in today’s Our Internet Secrets’ teleconference call was run through all of the advantages of doing an eBook topic about something that you know a lot about and also the disadvantages, maybe a couple of things that you hadn’t thought about.
We then ran through the process of how it is that you actually identify what sort of things, based on your life experience other people may well be interested in. We have a series of questions that you can use to identify those things and we also talked about how you can involve others in that process to get a much better quality list of potential topics based on your life experience.

Mindset Issues When Choosing A Niche

You see its one thing to have a great system to help you identify a hot selling niche, but having a great system – while that system could be the best system in the world, it’s not the only factor that you need to consider.
Quite often its people’s mindset which actually causes them problems when choosing a great niche for an information product.
Andrew and I went through 8 different subconscious blockages or beliefs or programs that you may have that are causing you problems when you identify a hot selling niche for an information product.

How To Build Your Brand With Your Own Book Or Magazine

Hi …. this is Glenn Walford here and I’ve just finished up today on the Our Internet Secrets teleconference call for Our Internet Secrets members.
What I was talking about today was how to build your brand with your own book or magazine?
I have put together a whole book series in my niche on franchising of 5 books and also put together a magazine that has got national distribution.
I talked about some details about how you can do that. As I did all this as a self-published person and I’ve been able to do that inside 18 months.
Your Own Book Is The “New Black”
What I covered in the teleconference today was why getting your content in print is the “new black”.
When we talk about things being the new black everything seems to be going digital with online content – where I view that there is definitely an opportunity to get a book in print and that can be the thing that people are physically holding. So when you are using a book to build your brand and you’ve got it in print you can take it:
- to listing presentations
- to appointments to try and close deals
- seal deals for lead generation
And that is going to be the key point of difference that you can hand over.
Imagine handing over something to say “here you go, I wrote the book on it”. That is going to be the key thing and that is why I see that a book is the “new black” because everyone wants to send you a PDF of content, you’re going to have a book that you can show people and it’s not going to be just a brochure. It’s going to be a book on your whole business and about you.
Benefits of Being An Author
I talked about the benefits of getting in print as an author. Most recently at a workshop in front of a couple hundred people – we asked everyone how they viewed an author and we came up with words that were thrown at me from the audience were things like:
- An author is an expert
- An author is credible
- An author has authority
And all that sort of thing kept coming out of the audience. So regardless of whatever is happening with books and going on online, people still firmly see an author as credible and the expert. That can be you in your own niche if you get your own book or even your own magazine in print.
Steps To Building Your Own Book
I talked about 4 steps to building your own book. They are:
- Decide on your topic and your twist
- Write your book
- Get published
- Make your marketing happen
These are things that are broken down into 4 pretty straight forward steps and I went through all of those today. It was really good fun going through those.
Your Own Magazine
Finally I talked about getting your own magazine. Many people would not have dreamed about getting a book let alone getting a magazine happening. I talked about how you can repurpose content from the book that you have and you can create the content for almost an entire series of magazines out of it.
So you can get a magazine that goes beyond you just having a brochure about you or your business but actually having a magazine where you can put a whole bunch of ways to monetise that magazine at the same time by creating connections and joint ventures with your peers and your suppliers in whatever business you are in.
It’s an amazingly powerful tool and you can have it in print or in the new digital page flip technology and I talked a lot about that.

How To Make Money Using Webinars

Today I was on the phone with Steve Essa. Steve is also known as the “Webinar Guy”. He took us through the 7 secrets to making big money with webinars.
What’s Exciting About Webinars?
What was really exciting about that is learning about the platform of webinars and how you can get your sales message across. Or any message in fact, to educate your clients and motivate them to take action, to buy your stuff or go and do something else that you need them to do.
It is a powerful media and technology that allows Steve to be very successful online and be able to live the life that he wants to live by travelling around the world and doing all sorts of things.
So, some of the key points that he took us through were 7 points that he wanted us to learn about making money with webinars.
How To Choose Your Webinar Platform
This is the first point that Steve talked about. He said that choosing your webinar platform is very important, making sure that you are getting the right technology to start with and choosing that technology is key to getting a good quality product out there.
Choosing The Right Webinar Model
The second point he talked about is choosing the right webinar model. You can do your webinars in a number of different ways and choosing the right model for the message that you have is pretty important as well. Steve went through a number of different models that you can use to promote or sell product.
How To Promote The Webinar
There is no point in having the best webinar in the world unless you actually have people there listening to the webinar. So promoting the webinar is very important. He shared with us heaps of ways of driving traffic to your webinar and having people turn up.
Running The Webinar
Steve talked about some of the things that you need to do to run your webinar.
How To Collect The Money At The Webinar
He talked about how to get people who are listening to your message on the webinar to be able to get money into your bank account. He showed us the mechanics of how to do that.
How To Automate Your Webinar
What this basically means is that once you have your webinar recorded – you do your webinar once – you record it and you can then set it up on auto pilot and set it to run automatically when you are not there. He has some very clever ways of doing that as well.
So, what this basically means is that you can have a webinar running when you’re not there. It sounds like you’re talking and delivering your messages that you want, but it means that you don’t have to be there or be involved.
The Importance Of Using Affiliates
He talked about how affiliates can go out and sell your webinar on your behalf as well. These were some more advanced strategies that he covered there, but that really helps you super charge your program you can effectively make lots of cash from other people’s efforts.

How to know if your business is good or bad?
What Janet was talking about today though was when do you know when your online business is a good business or a bad business?
Is it something that you should work on a bit more – and renovate it – or is it something that you should detonate and get rid of it?
The topic of her call today was “Renovate or Detonate?” and she took us through a number of key strategic tools that you can use to assess your business to work out where it is you are at the moment.

Hi and welcome – in today’s Our Internet Secrets teleconference we had guests Matt and Liz Raad, who are faculty members, along talking about the secrets of making money from websites.
