Jewel of Wisdom #11 – Get Yourself A Virtual Assistant To Crank Up Your Online Marketing Business

I don’t know about you … but my brain has gone into overdrive with projects that I want to get done – and there simply isn’t enough time in the day for me to do it all.  So, I’ve decided its time to hire a virtual assistant.  This is a bit scary doing it for the first time … but Chris Whitrod, a colleague of Andrew and Daryl’s, has run through this process with us today and made it simple.  Chris has a team of virtual assistant’s all around the world working for him, and has a lot of experience in this area.

Chris’s tips as an employer of a virtual assistant:

1. Be clear about the tasks that you want your virtual assistant to do for you
2. Give them a 2 hour test job to do for you
3. Be proactive in  giving feedback during this job so that you are confident you have given them ALL your requirements and assistance
4. If they are not meeting your performance criteria, have the strength of character to “let them go”
5. Give them fair feedback
6. If you find a good assistant – LOOK AFTER THEM!!!

You can get a virtual assistant to do your research on your topic for you … wouldn’t that save you a stack of time.  Are you as amazed as I am … that you can pay someone else to find out the fears, wants, frustrations, needs and desires of your market while you do the things that you want to do?  Plus a whole host of other things to make your life easier.

These sites could also fall into the category of “BSO” – if you’ve heard Andrew and Daryl talk – you’ll know that this means “Bright Shiny Objects”!

Make sure you have a plan and work to your plan – and if using these tools are part of your plan … put a time limit on using them – so you don’t get distracted and fall into procrastination symptoms and not get all  tasks done as planned.
